DEL MONTE HEIGHTS / SEASIDE, Monterey County — October 30, 2026. Families, lap swimmers and older adults who use the Pattullo Swim Center should check its revised fall and winter schedule before heading to the pool. The City of Seaside’s current program page lists new Saturday swim windows beginning October 24, 2026, and specifies that several Friday morning classes were removed beginning October 23. The facility is at 1148 Wheeler Street, Seaside, with a direct telephone number of (831) 899-6815.

These details are important for Del Monte Heights families and other nearby Seaside residents who may have saved an older fall program sheet. An archived schedule still shown in some search results lists different Saturday times and Friday classes. The city’s updated Pattullo Swim Center program page should be used instead, alongside any same-day sign or cancellation notice.

Saturday schedule changed on October 24

The fall/winter/spring program table now lists adult lap swim on Saturdays from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. and family recreational swim from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Both entries explicitly show a start date of October 24, 2026. These are two different swim periods, not a continuous combined public swim session. Adult lap swimming is listed for ages 18 and older, while family recreation swimming is open to all ages under the facility’s applicable supervision and safety rules.

Other listed lap-swim windows include Monday through Thursday, noon to 2 p.m., and evening sessions on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 5:30 to 7 p.m.. The city notes that three lanes are reserved for swim lessons from 6:10 to 7 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays, which can limit space for other lap swimmers. Friday evening family recreation swim remains listed from 7:15 to 9 p.m..

Friday morning classes removed

Three morning programs now show Monday and Wednesday only, with the city’s explicit note “starting 10/23/26 NO FRIDAYS”:

  • Water exercise: Monday and Wednesday, 9–9:50 a.m. (and separate Tuesday/Thursday evening classes from 5:30–6:20 p.m.).
  • Parent-tot recreation swim: Monday and Wednesday, 10–10:50 a.m., for children under five accompanied by a parent.
  • Older adult swim: Monday and Wednesday, 11–11:50 a.m., for swimmers aged 60 and older.

Residents should not interpret the disappearance of those Friday morning classes as closure of the entire pool on Fridays: the city’s current table continues to list evening lap swim and family recreation swim that day. Availability can still change with staffing, maintenance and special events.

How much does a swim visit cost?

The city posts separate resident and nonresident drop-in rates for lap and recreational swimming. For Seaside residents, the posted per-visit rate is $3.50 for youth 17 and under, $5.75 for adults and $3.50 for those aged 60 or older. Nonresident prices are $4 for youth, $7 for adults and $4 for seniors. Children under two are listed as free in both columns. Youth and seniors should confirm identification and any applicable supervision requirements; a listed age price is not proof that a child can swim without an adult.

Monthly adult lap-swim passes appear at $34 for residents and $47 for nonresidents. The website also lists youth punch cards, family passes and separate water-exercise products. Those products are not interchangeable, and a swimming pass should not be assumed to cover any specialized lesson or group class. Check the current rate at the front desk before paying because program prices can be updated.

November, December and holiday closures

The posted fall/winter schedule lists closure on October 31, 2026 for the Halloween event at the Oldemeyer Center, November 26–27 for Thanksgiving, December 10–14 for deep pool cleaning, December 24–25 for Christmas, December 31 for New Year’s Eve, and January 1, 2027 for New Year’s Day. It also lists an early closing at 2 p.m. on December 4. Special holiday recreational-swim hours may apply on Veterans Day and during some school recess dates. These are published program schedules, not a live confirmation of staffing or every unexpected closure.

Where residents can confirm and register

Use Seaside’s swim-center program page for the detailed schedule and fees, or the city’s facility page for its address and rental information. The city recreation department also maintains an online registration portal. Call (831) 899-6815 before a time-sensitive trip, especially when a session could be affected by maintenance or limited staffing.
